The Qualifications That Open Every Door

Functional Skills are nationally recognised qualifications in English and Maths. Level 2 is equivalent to GCSE grade 4/C and is accepted by employers, apprenticeship providers, and further education colleges as meeting their English and Maths requirements.

Most learners complete Functional Skills Level 2 in 3–6 months. If you're studying English and Maths together, you can complete both in the same timeframe. The course is self-paced, so you can move faster or slower as needed.

Almost every employer, apprenticeship, and further education course requires English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) as a minimum. Without these qualifications, many career and education pathways are closed. Getting them opens up opportunities across every sector.
